Pastel Study 4-7-2020

This little painting (about 7×9) is from one of the photos that I took on our Rockin’ River hike. On the day that I worked this pastel, I hated it. I was still trying to fit too much into one painting and what was with all those little circle/dots anyway? Well, today I took it off the board to prepare for another study and I now actually like it. There are problems of course, but the circles are growing on me.

Wishing you well,

    1. Thank you. 😊 Most of what I’m doing is around 7 x 9 or 8 x 10. Just because that size fits into my pochade box top which is what I’m using as an easle. When I’m home, I often grab pieces of paper that I have already cut for road travel.
